Plastic housing color mushroom for Mercedes R129 / W124 Cabrio interior light
Our housing was not manufactured cheaply using a 3D printer, as is the case with various competitors, but rather using a professional injection mold. It is made of break-proof ABS plastic and has the original surface structure!
We only supply the plastic housing without electronics or lamps. We offer the two interior lights as an option in our shop at a reasonable price.
The conversion of this housing is quite simple, please read the following assembly instructions and pay attention to our pictures.
Step 1:
Remove the temperature sensor through the 3 screws and the plug connection. Unclip the lighting cables on the left and right.
Step 2+3:
Unclip the switch for the interior lighting (can be unlocked in 3 positions)
Step 4:
Unclip the speaker cover and place it with the speaker to one side.
Step 5:
Unplug the lighting plug of the reading lamps.
Step 6:
Remove reading lamps from the visible side.
Step 7:
The inner part is plastic welded to the outer panel at 6 points. This connection can be released by levering using a flat object. Both parts are minimally glued together on the left and right. This can be solved by levering the same.
By pressing from the visible side, through the reading lights, both can now Parts can be separated from each other.
